WE'RE HOME! // January - February - March

Kia ora everyone!

We're feeling all sorts of things for this new year, haha. Pumped, pensive, perplexed, gimme all the p's. But it's actually been nothing short of beautiful and we're here for it. So far we've had family hanging out on campus for 2 weeks, friends visiting to enjoy the Northland summer, the conclusion of the September DTS, and the return to the great north for those of our staff who have been away for 6 months now with the DTS.

Here's a few of our personal highlights

• We've officially returned to Northland - PTL

• Baby nephew was born - ADORABLE

• We're taking a break at the end of this week for a couple days and sooo excited for it. Those who have been keeping a close eye on us will be relieved at this news, lol. Thanks for checking in and reminding us to slow down team.

• We recently received a one-off donation as a gift from some family back in the states which covered a couple weeks rent we were due to pay off. Woo!

• Our online Strategic Leadership Course is amazinnng and has helped us develop clearer vision and purpose for what we're about. Don't get us to explain that all just yet though coz we're only half way, haha.

A couple ministry highlights...

• All outreach teams did incredibly well and stuck it out through thick and thin together. They covered the length of NZ and did the mahi/work while spreading te rongopai/the good news. Legends!

• The DTS has graduated and disbanded. Which is bitter-sweet. But we're stoked for the lot of them to get back amongst it in NZ as they begin stuff like university, work, ongoing training in YWAM, and just being back with whānau and friends.

• Our time in Tauranga was beautiful and we'll miss our Furnace fam heaps. We built solid friendships and will be reuniting with some of them to serve at this year's Northern Easter Camp in Mystery Creek.

• We're welcoming in new staff from this last DTS! Stoked!

• YWAM Furnace sent us off with a financial blessing which was so generous and such an answer to prayer for us as a ministry.

• We're planning toward our first ever DTW (Discipleship Training Week) for the 2nd week of school holidays so youth can get a taste of a week on DTS.

Specific prayers and requests...

• We still have another 13k of debt which we incurred as a result of not running the DTS in Northland. Buuuut we knew that would happen as we said 'yes' to it last year. Prayer for further financial blessings and breakthrough is appreciated!

• Prayer for the Northern Easter Camp! That no COVID issues arise that would hinder the event. It's an amazing time for young people to encounter the Lord and get a fresh sense of the Father's love for them. Bam.

• We would LOVE to update the furniture on campus specifically in our student lounge and prayer house. We hope to sell our base trailer-house to pay off the above debt and fund various projects like this around the campus. The hope being that we can create spaces that are modern, warm, inviting, and not falling apart, haha.
